What is Kinesiology?

Founded on Eastern medicine and Western understanding of anatomy, kinesiologists believe at some deep unconscious level, your body knows exactly what it needs to be healthy.

"Kinesiology enables you to bypass your conscious mind to isolate causal factors in your subconscious. In other words, “it lets your body do the talking".

The idea is that each muscle group is related to a body part: digestive system, nerves, organs etc. How the muscles respond to different tests reveal the body's functioning and helps locate imbalances.

What methods are used in kinesiology?

Kinesiologists use muscle monitoring to ask the body for feedback regarding its current state. Muscle testing allows the kinesiologist to find the most beneficial technique from a toolbox of structural, biochemical, emotional, electrical and spiritual processes. Common balancing methods can include:

  • Tracing or massaging meridians
  • Gentle rubbing, holding or tapping acupressure points
  • Gem and flower essences
  • Strengthening systems with wholefood nutrition
  • Sound and tuning forks
  • Light and colour frequency
  • Movement, breath work and physical releases
  • Belief system reframing
  • Clearing sabotage patterns
  • Relaxation and visualisation work
